HOTEL INSIDER: NARCISSUS HOTEL AND SPA RIYADH
Narcissus Hotel and Spa, located in the heart of Riyadh, looks like a giant yellow wedding cake and stands out with its distinct exterior among Riyadh's more modern high rises. It is opulent and kitschy like something from Las Vegas and especially gaudy when it is lit in different shades of neon at night.
The location is good but Riyadh's metro adjacent to the hotel is under construction, making your stay noisy and the view unattractive. Getting to the hotel during rush hour can be a nightmare. But, if you want to experience Saudi opulence be centrally located, this could be the hotel for you.
Here's a look at the opulence inside.
The Royal Suite is huge and with a total of 353 square meters (3,800 square feet), it is more like a large city apartment than a hotel. The Suite comes with two bedrooms, a walk-in closet, a grand salon with a piano, a large dining room with a kitchenette, private exercise room, small hair salon as well as a well equipped office.
The classic rooms are 32 square meters and the decor is more toned down compared to the lavish Royal Suite.
The hotel has a beautiful spa but for those who enjoy more privacy, the hotel also has special Spa Suites that come with private massage beds, a steam room and a Jacuzzi.
