HOTEL INSIDER: THE OPULENT RITZ-CARLTON RIYADH
Palatial and opulent, The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh was originally envisioned as a royal guest palace for visiting dignitaries and heads of state. The hotel's stately architecture and design follow the traditional Arabian palaces and residences with its sand-colored façade and lavishly landscaped gardens.
As you enter through the main gate, the wide alley, lined with date-palm trees and colorful flowers, leads to the grand entrance, complete with an grand fountain and a red carpet.
Stepping inside, the sleek marble, lavish flower arrangements, equestrian statues, opulent chandeliers, and a warm welcome, makes anyone feel like royalty.
The grandiose hotel complex that sits on 52 acres, includes three restaurants serving 900 covers, three cafes with 450 seats, lounge bars, a banqueting hall for 700 guests, a 62,000 square foot/5,760 m2 conference center, a six-lane bowling alley, a fitness centre with sauna, jacuzzi, and hammam as well as a luxurious gentlemen's' spa.
The almost 500 rooms and suites are designed with traditional vibrant colors and ethnic designs reflecting the kingdom’s Arabic heritage.
THE ROYAL SUITE
The 4,575 square foot/426 m2 Royal Suites of the Ritz-Carlton Riyadh include spacious two-bedrooms, two living rooms, a dining room for 16, and a private office. The suites are beautifully designed with lavish details and furnishings...if only they would clean the windows!
the bridal suite
With its palace-inspired architecture, splendor, and experienced planning team, The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh is certainly a fairytale wedding destination. The grand ballroom can accommodate 2,000 guests and the complimentary Bridal Suite adjacent to the ballroom provides a private and luxurious retreat. The suite's royal blue and elegant rose color schemes, majestic crystal chandeliers and elegant details, are designed to match the splendor of the ballroom.
THE GENTLEMEN'S SPA
The exclusive gentlemen's spa provides a tranquil and luxurious retreat and features a large pool as well as spa treatments such as Dead Sea Salt Toning Scrub, Oxygen Facial, foot reflexology, and massages.
The treatments are appropriately indulgent for this hotel and, for instance, the special "Royal Groom of Arabia" treatment starts with a floral feet ritual, is then followed by a full body scrub and wrap, and a full body massage as well as a facial (read more at the hotel's web site: The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh).
